7) The Question Of The Week (P2-P3-P4)

  • How do you say "rooster" in Spanish?

7) The Question Of The Week (P5-P6-P7)

  • Write in Spanish: "My name is (your name), I am (your age) years old and I'm from Ireland). Be careful with the spelling, because the spelling must be correct to get the sweets on Monday. (You can write "n" instead "ñ" or use "ñ" if you press Alt+164 in your Keyboard).

Special post "Athletic de Bilbao"

Today is an amazing day for Basque people (especially for the people from Bilbao) because our soccer team “Athletic de Bilbao” plays the Final King’s Cup tonight versus Barcelona. The people in Spain are into football, as part of Spanish culture.
In Bilbao, Athletic de Bilbao has a lot of fans and the streets are crowded now. Anyway, I only want to send my support for them and hope the best for tonight!

6) The Question Of The Week (P2-P3-P4)

  • How do you say "cow" in Spanish?

6) The Question Of The Week (P5-P6-P7)

  • What is the best selling Spanish song in the world?

Special week for P5-P6-P7

As this week has been a busy time, I decided to prepare a funny lesson for the eldest children. We have danced Macarena in Spanish. I know the children like this song in English but it’s time to learn in Spanish as well. Maybe the lyric is a bit difficult but everybody has done a hard effort, and they have been dancing really well. They have learnt some features about this song, which was world-famous. Easy to dance to relax the mind caused by the tests.

Dale a tu cuerpo alegria Macarena
que tu cuerpo es pa' darle alegria y cosa buena
dale a tu cuerpo alegria Macarena
eeeh Macarena.... aaahe!

Animals in Spanish!

This week, the P1, P2, P3 and P4 have learnt a new song about animals in Spanish.  Now they know how says rooster, duck, dog, cat, cow and pig in Spanish. Well done!

New song!

A new song for P5, P6 and P7 students! “Tengo una vaca lechera” is a Spanish popular song about a dairy cow. This week they have learnt just the first part of the song but I am sure they will know all the song in two weeks.

Tengo una vaca lechera
I Have a Dairy Cow

Tengo una vaca lechera
No es una vaca cualquiera
Me da leche merengada
Ay que vaca tan salada!
Tolon Tolon Tolon Tolon

Un cencerro le he comprado
Que a mi vaca le ha gustado
Se pasea por el prado
Espanta moscas con el rabo
Tolon Tolon Tolon Tolon

Que felices viviremos
Cuando vuelvas a mi lado
Con tus quesos, con tus besos
Los tres juntos que ilusión

I have a dairy cow,
It's no ordinary cow,
It gives me meringue milk.
Ah! What a nice cow!
Tolon, tolon Tolon, tolon *.

I bought it a cowbell,
And my cow liked it,
It strolls across the meadow,
It kills flies with its tail.
Tolon, tolon Tolon, tolon *.

How happy we will live,
When you come back by my
side,
With its cheese, with your
kisses,
The three of us together, how exciting!
